NOTE All ECE LMS and students have a UConn email address, which redirects to a personal email address. The UConn email address (
@uconn.edu) must be provided when signing up for Interlibrary Loan (borrowing books and articles from other libraries). To get your UConn email address go to
netid.uconn.edu, click "My NetID" in the top menu bar, click "Account Info" from the drop-down menu, then log in with your NetID and password. If you are having trouble with your UConn email address, please contact the
ITS Technology Services helpdesk for assistance.
UConn Library Materials Borrowing Privileges for ECE Students
ECE students have the same borrowing privileges as undergraduates for materials owned by UConn
- Books may be borrowed for 180 days with 2 renewals (Except Leisure Reading materials – 30 day loan period with one renewal)
- DVDs/VHS 14 day loan for media – no renewals
- Limit of 150 books to be checked out
ECE Instructors and ECE Library Media Specialists have the same borrowing privileges as UConn Faculty and Staff:
- Books may be borrowed for 180 days with 5 renewals (Except Leisure Reading materials – 30 day loan period with one renewal)
- DVDs/VHS 14 day loan for media – no renewals
- Limit of 300 books to be checked out
Borrowing from Other UConn Libraries
- Books may be borrowed and sent to Storrs or any UConn Regional Campus Libraries (Avery Point, Hartford, Stamford, and Waterbury)
- Return borrowed items only to UConn Storrs or the Regional Campuses – Avery Point, Hartford, Stamford, or Waterbury) - Not Public Libraries
Interlibrary Loan
ECE students, Library Media Specialists, and instructors have Interlibrary Loan privileges. See Interlibrary Services for ECE, below.
Fees and Recalls
- Any library notification (Courtesy Notice, Recall Notice, Overdue Notice) will be sent to the @uconn.edu email address, which will redirect to a personal email.
**All ECE students have a UConn email address; if you have forgotten what it is, you can look it up in the UConn Phonebook (note you must be logged in with your NetID to view student information). If you are having trouble with your UConn email address,please contact the ITS Technology Services helpdesk for further assistance.
- Students are responsible for any fines/fees accrued due to late returns, loss/damage of material

ECE Instructors and Library Media Specialists: Your UConn Husky One Card is your library card. Please visit the One Card office website for more information: https://onecard.uconn.edu/the-one-card/getting-your-one-card/. Photos can be uploaded to your account with permission from the One Card Office. Husky One Cards can be picked up at any UConn regional campus.
