This guide will direct you to resources on nutritional science and help you get started at UConn Library.
If you aren't familiar with your topic you should find a book or other tertiary source analyzing or giving a general overview of the topic, to get familiar with the terminology. To find these materials using the UConn Library website, view the following video.
Using the Library's General Search
The UConn Library's General Search box enables you to access our books, electronic materials such as ejournals and ebooks, and Connecticut Digital Archive (CTDA) materials with one search. Filters and facets narrow your results to suit your needs.

- Link to UConn Library Advanced SearchUse the Advanced Search to limit your search to just book or just articles. You can also use the Advanced Search to search by author, title, or subject.
Find By Citation
- Find By CitationIf you have information such as DOI, ISBN, title, author, etc., the easiest way to locate it within UConn Library's resources is to use the Find By Citation tool. Even if we don't have immediate access to a resource, it will link you directly to Interlibrary Services to request the PDF/book.
