New Library Electronic Resources FY2020 — Streaming Videos

Two-year EBA program for Academic Video Online, a comprehensive streaming collection that includes documentaries, interviews, feature films, performances, news programs and newsreels, and demonstrations. The wide-ranging subject areas span anthropology, business, counseling, film, health, history, and music.

We have made a prepayment of $15,000 to fund one-year leases of streaming videos, specifically popular feature films and documentaries needed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, from Kanopy.

We subscribe to a collection of 50 streaming videos, specifically studio feature films and documentaries needed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The terms of the subscription are July 1, 2020 - June 30, 2021. New titles can be swapped in throughout the subscription year. The current collection is based on current DVD reserves.

Permanent online access to 1800+ documentary films covering a vast array of issues and topics from leading film producers and distributors, including Bullfrog Films, Icarus Films, National Film Board of Canada, and independent filmmakers globally. Strongest in environmental studies, sociology, anthropology, global studies, area studies, women’s studies, history, political science, health, psychology, and the arts.

Permanent online access to 30 world-class dramatic productions from the UK's National Theatre, captured on high-definition video, and featuring both adaptations of classics (Shakespeare, Mary Shelley) and contemporary dramas (wonder.land). Also includes unique digitized primary sources such as photographs, scripts, and costume designs.
