The UConn Library recently acquired permanent online access to millions of scholarly journal articles, tens of thousands of ebooks, thousands of streaming videos, and millions of pages of primary sources in all subjects.
Through evidence-based and demand-driven collection development models with JSTOR, Project Muse, Cambridge University Press, ProQuest, and Springer, we have also added one year of access to tens of thousands more ebooks and streams, with the ability to use our prepaid subscription fee to purchase titles of our choice in perpetuity in 2021.
While most of this content is new to UConn, we have also bought out JSTOR and other subscribed collections, achieving permanent cost savings of $88,000 (1.5% of the UConn Library's collections budget).
Everything listed on these pages (unless otherwise noted) was purchased in perpetuity with zero ongoing access fees. In most cases, preservation and access are assured through Portico. Everything is for unlimited concurrent users and is DRM free.
Note that this guide is intended for library staff only - please do not share outside the organization. You are welcome to copy titles and descriptions and customize as desired to share directly with your constituents.
Everything is available to all UConn, including Health and Law.
