Homer Babbidge Library by the Numbers

The UConn library system holds the largest public collection of research materials in Connecticut. Homer Babbidge Library holds more than 2 million books and eBooks, thousands of journals & newspapers online and/or in print. Materials are held in Babbidge, Music & Dramatic Arts Library, Dodd Archives, Pharmacy and 4 regional campus libraries (Avery Point, Hartford, Stamford and Waterbury).   

Main uses of the library by undergraduates include:

  • studying (#1)
  • watching films with classes in one of the video theaters or on computers/laptops
  • doing research
  • using computers
  • print ($) or scan (free) documents
  • hanging out in Bookworms Café
