How can I borrow books ?
Your Husky One Card is all you need to borrow materials. To search for books, check the catalog on the Library Home Page.
How are books organized in the library?
We use the Library of Congress (LC) system and books are organized by subject. Each book has a label with the "call number," which is a combination of letters and numbers that will lead you to the location of the book. Library staff are here to help you find things.
Can I borrow books from the Storrs campus and other UConn libraries?
Yes! And, it costs you nothing! Items from other UConn libraries are delivered to Waterbury. Typically, books arrive within 7-10 business days.
How can I use a study room?
Simply ask at the front desk. Rooms are available for two hours on a first-come, first-served basis.
How do I print?
There is a printer located on Level 1 of the library. You can set up HuskyPrint from your laptop to print at the library/computer lab or use our computers. Add HuskyBucks online at the One Card Office to pay for printing.
How can I get research help?
Ask for a librarian at the information desk, or contact robert.walsh@uconn.edu. For immediate 24/7 help, chat with a librarian.
Life happens, and it's not always an option to come to the library. We get it! However, with an internet connection and a computer or phone*, you can access pretty much everything you need to get your research done. You can even connect with a librarian without stepping foot in the library!
*If there are technology barriers, please let us know. We might be able to help.
UConn Library is here to help with your research! It doesn't matter if it's the middle of the night, or a Saturday afternoon, or if you're on the other side of the country visiting family! There are several ways to get research help, depending on your question and time....AND, you don't even need to come to campus!
