Grants — Foundation Directory Online

Use Pivot or Foundation Directory Online to locate grant or funding opportunities

What is Foundation Directory Online?

The Foundation Directory Online (FDO) provides information on more than 70,000 U.S. based private and corporate foundations that fund national and international projects. The database includes information on each foundation’s application process, the number and amounts of grants given each year, recently awarded grants and their recipients, geographic focus, specified areas of interest, contact information, and more.  FDO is funded through a partnership between the UConn Foundation and UConn Library.

Additional content includes links to foundation websites, recently filed IRS 990 forms, listings of recently announced RFPs and Foundation Center newsletters. You can search by grant maker name, geographic region, fields of interest, recipient type, support type (fellowships, scholarships, research grants, travel awards etc.), grant amount, and names of trustees and officers.

To access the Foundation Directory Online, go to lib.uconn.edu, select Databases, then either select Grants from RESOURCE TYPE box,  or type name of database in the SEARCH FOR DATABASES search box.
