Thank you for joining us in 2025! We look forward to seeing you for the next UConn Avery Point Reading Celebration from April 13-17, 2026!

Welcome and Schedule

We look forward to seeing your family at the UConn Avery Point Reading Celebration, April 14-17, 2025! We'll have story times, crafts, and activities led by UConn students each day, Monday through Thursday, at 10:00 am and 4:30 pm, after which kids can pick out some books to keep and explore the beautiful campus while completing a self-guided scavenger hunt. We invite you also to visit the campus bookstoreMort's Cafe, and Alexey von Schlippe Gallery (open Thurs-Sun 12:00-4:00).

Story times are geared toward grades K-2, and kids of all ages are welcome to join us!

Location and Parking Information

Story times will be held in the Library building or on the lawn nearby if weather permits. We have some chairs and picnic blankets to share, and you're welcome to bring your own. 

Visit the campus Directions and Parking page for a campus map, directions, and parking lot destinations. UConn Avery Point is located at 1084 Shennecossett Road in Groton. 

Please park in Student Lot (Lot A) or in the Pay-to-Park areas. If you park in Area 2 (staff) lots, you might be ticketed.
