A Guide to Starting Your Research Project

Students describe how they feel about research: fear, angst, tired, dread, excited, annoyed, stressed, disgusted, intrigued, confused, & overwhelmed

Can you relate as you start on your research project?

Research is exciting and frustrating - and that's okay! It's okay to feel overwhelmed while you're starting your project. But you don't have to stay that way.

This guide will help you:

It's okay to take a break, a deep breath, a walk outside - whatever you need to clear your head. Keep track of what you did: keywords used and new ones found, databases you searched in, articles of interest, experts on your topic, etc. This will help you save time and be more efficient.
