Diverse perspectives from women, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and the LGBTQIA community are essential to advancing innovation and equity in society. Indeed, many of STEM's innovators like Alan Turing, Katharine Johnson, and Percy Julian, were members of underrepresented communities, and they faced discrimination in their careers. This page is devoted to featuring memoirs and other books which offer diverse perspectives on careers and innovation in STEM fields. This page is managed by STEM librarian Renee Walsh. If a book's link is not active yet, then the book is has recently been ordered and is still in processing. This page features both physical books as well as ebooks.
