Welcome to the English and American Literature Subject Guide! This guide highlights some of the UConn Library's many electronic resources that are available to assist you in your researches.

This guide is intended to provide access to the UConn Library's resources that: 

  • provide criticism of, or discuss, a literary work, an author, a movement, or a literary genre;

  • provide the full texts and images of the texts (books, journals, newspapers) issued during a particular period;

  • provide biographical data to contextualize references;

  • provide dictionaries and literary encyclopedias to explain words and terms that have lost currency.

This guide also provides access to the UConn Library's resources that assist you in citing your researches and discoveries.
