Presidential signing statements - or messages accompanying a veto - can be noted in legislative histories and are published in the sources listed below. (Example: George W. Bush's signing statement on the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005). Signing statements are reproduced in the Weekly Compilation of Presidential Documents and Compilation of Presidential Documents.
