Spanish Language Materials at Archives & Special Collections

The Archives and Special Collections Deparment (ASC) holds several collections of rare books, journals and government records relevant to Spain, Latin American, and the Spanish Caribbean. The majority of the collections are only accessible through the archives but selections from some of these collections have been digitized. Below is a list of these collections and where to find them. Visit the ASC site to learn how to get access to these materials.

This is a selection of books and magazines mainly from the Puerto Rican Collection (a.k.a the Géigel Collection) that have been digitized by the UConn Library and the Archives & Special Collections Department at the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center.

The Archives and Special Collections in collaboration with the UConn Library, digitized a selection of these collection in-house to create a digital collection of this 19th century women journals to provide access to all researchers regardless of location. In addition, we digitized a selection of 18th and 19th century literary magazines.
